Product Description

This is the original classic shoe that the Pedors brand was founded on and is still our #1 best selling shoe.

Originally launched in April 1997, the Classic has over the years been revised and fine tuned as the company continually refines this flagship product which epitomizes the company’s brand message which is to provide “Problem Solving Footwear For Challenging Feet”

The key design feature is that the shoe is able to accommodate all of the foot and thus ensure total foot comfort.  The specially formulated proprietary seamless upper can stretch where needed and be molded when necessary to accommodate the most demanding bunion, corn, hammertoe or other forefoot deformity to avoid discomfort or even pain.  The Classic comes with an EVA insole which is a ¼ inch thick to provide extra “plantar” or sole cushioning.  This extra depth feature can also accommodate either a functional or dynamic custom orthosis or a protective comfort prefabricated insert   when necessary.

The adjustable single touch closure strap makes the shoe easy to put on and take off and easy and to adjust over the course of the day when swelling is present.

Light weight and machine washable (the Classic comes with wash bag and washing machine instructions) the Classic is available in full and half sizes and three widths – the  80 plus “off-the-shelf” sizes ensure that the Classic is as close to a custom molded shoe you can get at an affordable price.

The seamless stretch forfoot design make the Classic an excellent choice of footwear for both people with diabetes and / or arthritis.

  1. Comfort

Posted by Unknown on 15th Apr 2013

I was recently at Schevier Pavilion for physical therapy for my arthric knees. A tech gave me an oversized shoe (all that they had) and the relief on my overlapping toe and bunions as well as the pressure on the knees was great. Now I have purchased a pair in the correct size and is more and more marvelous to walk although at 80 my body still needs to recover its strength

  2. Great for foot difficulties.

Posted by Unknown on 12th Feb 2013

I got these for a friend who had a stroke and can use only her left hand. She has a brace for her weak right ankle that has to go completely inside the shoe. In addition she has bunions and arthritis in her feet. With the single velcro closure she can get her shoes on by herself which was necessary as she moved into independent living. We had tried a leather like sneaker style which was way too stiff and painful for her. These shoes were a huge help. Only negative is the color has a gold tint. Likely her next pair will be ordered in black. Shipping was very fast and staff excellent in assisting the order. THANKS!

  3. The Best Shoes, ever!

Posted by Janette Schaafsma, Surrey B.C. Canada. on 15th Jan 2013

I have loved the Pedors Classic from the first moment I wore them! They are so light-weight I feel like my feet are floating on air. They stretch every-which-way for my R.A-deformed feet, so no more problems with pressure-point lesions! I wear them all day, every day, and have been buying two pairs each year (one pair black, one pair beige) for the past 5 years, at least! They do need to be replaced yearly with that kind of wear, because they start to lose their shape and stretch. Thank-you Pedors! Please never stop producing and selling these amazing shoes - so many of us with foot problems can find no other shoe to fit our long-suffering feet!!

  4. Excellent Product!

We have been using Pedors for many years and find them to be excellent for diabetics and those with CHF produced fluid retention in the legs and feet. The shoe affords excellent support while allowing for easy adjustment to accommodate swelling of feet and legs. We highly recommend this product!

  5. For my mom!

Posted by Suzanne Chartrand on 21st Jun 2012

My mom suffers from neuropathy. Her pedors classic are the ONLY shoes she can wear and feel comfortable in! She had them in black and I ordered her a pair in beige for summer. Chances are, we'll be ordering another pair in black for next winter. The only problem is; it is expensive to order them from Québec, Canada. But, she loves them so...we will order another pair before long. I'm even thinking of buying a pair for myself! Thanks Pedors!!

I absolutely love the Pedor shoe with the nyoprene material that is stretchy and easy to clean. This shoe has such a comfortable fit and excellent styling. It is very classic and can be worn with slacks or dresses. This is truly an excellent choice for anyone desiring to wear a shoe from morning until evening without any discomfort whatsoever.

Purchased pair of these shoes as a gift for an elderly relative, and very glad to have done so. I would recommend them to folks who do not want to mess around with shoe laces. Very unique style, lightweight, and comfortable.
Wears this shoe: Worn daily at nursing home.

  9. Perfect for me January 30, 2012

Posted by T. Warren from Southern Colorado on 9th May 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size
Shoe Width: Felt true to width
I've been wearing the wrong shoes for decades, simply because I've been unable to find shoes which properly accommodate my odd hammer toes, very different from each other on each foot, and a peculiar thrust to my right foot. These shoes are perfect for me, plenty of space in the toe box, virtually weightless, almost feel like there is nothing on my feet, and because I wear them most of every day, it's nice that they are machine-washable. Only possible drawback for me is that the velcro strap is too long but I can deal with that. And yes, you should order one size smaller than your usual size, as noted, because these shoes have so much space in them.
Wears this shoe: Most of the time.

  10. Work great for my 87 year old mom April 05, 2012

Posted by Deb from Ithaca, NY on 9th May 2012

Shoe Size: Felt true to size
Shoe Width: Felt true to width
My mom has trouble with shoes. Bunions, Rheumatoid arthritis, poor healing and other shoes were creating problems just from the contact. She is pretty much wheel chair bound. These look good are easy for the aides to get on and best of all she likes them. I bought the beige and will buy her a black pair in the fall.
