Pedors Sizing Made Simple

Most people do not need complicated charts to get started. Begin with the method that feels right for you, then go deeper only if you want the extra reassurance.

Pedors principle: go wider, not endlessly longer

Method 1

The No Measuring Method

To get started, choose the foot closest to yours

Choose who you are shopping for, then select the width that looks most like your foot.

Who are you shopping for?

Showing: Women’s widths

Shopping for the most swollen foot is usually the best place to start.

Method 2

The Quick Measuring Method

This is the best method when you want a more precise starting point without getting lost in charts.

1

Sit

Place each foot on paper.

2

Trace

Trace around both feet as accurately as possible.

3

Measure

Use the longer foot for length and the wider foot for width.

It is common for people with swollen feet to end up in shoes that are too long just to gain extra room. Pedors is built to give that extra room through width instead.

Match your measurements

9 ¾"
4"

Every ⅛" is selectable. If you are between widths, choose the larger width for comfort.

Your suggested Pedors fit

Suggested Size: Women’s 9 / Men’s 7
Suggested Width: Wide
Length: 9 ¾" • Width: 4"

Guide only. The aim is to get you into the right area quickly, then let style choice come second.

Method 3

The Detailed Measuring Method, including girth

This is the reassurance method. Use it if the feet are very swollen, wrapped, bandaged, or if you simply want to double-check everything before ordering.

  • First complete the Quick Measuring Method above.
  • Then measure the girth around the arch and instep of the foot using a flexible tape measure.
  • If you measured in millimeters, convert them to inches below before using the charts.
  • If you do not have a tape measure, use string first, then measure the string.
  • Measure when swelling is greatest if possible, usually late afternoon or early evening.
  • Check the girth chart to make sure your suggested width will also accommodate the foot’s overall volume.
  • If in doubt, move up a width rather than down.
Width tells part of the story. Girth tells you how much total volume the foot is asking the shoe to accommodate.
