Diabetic Insoles & Accommodative Inserts

Soft, supportive cushioning for sensitive feet.

When you live with diabetes, your feet can become more sensitive to pressure, friction and minor rubbing. Even small hot spots or hard edges inside a shoe can feel uncomfortable and may discourage you from walking as much as you’d like. A good diabetic insole is designed to spread pressure out, soften impact and give your feet a stable, cushioned base to stand and walk on.

At Pedors, the insole we recommend most often for people with sensitive or “at risk” feet is the Pedors 3P Insert. It is an accommodating, triple-density insert that can be worn inside Pedors shoes or other extra-depth footwear to provide gentle support and long-lasting comfort.

Why Pedors 3P Inserts work so well as diabetic insoles

The Pedors 3P is designed to be protective first, supportive second. Rather than forcing your foot into a rigid shape, it cushions, cradles and supports it. Key benefits include:

  • Triple-density construction that combines a soft top layer with firmer support underneath.
  • Full-length cushioning from heel to toe to help reduce pressure points.
  • Gentle arch support to improve alignment without feeling hard or intrusive.
  • Deep heel cup to help stabilise the rearfoot and improve overall comfort.
  • Heat-mouldable design that can be customised by a clinician if extra shaping is needed.
  • Well suited for diabetic feet, neuropathic feet and very sensitive or bony feet that dislike firm orthotics.

Many people who find traditional orthotics “too hard” do very well in 3P because it allows the foot to settle into the insert rather than fight against it.

A short overview of the Pedors 3P Insert and why it works so well as an accommodative diabetic insole.

How to choose your 3P size

Diabetic insoles are sized by shoe length, not width. Widths don’t apply here. If you are unsure of your shoe size, you can use the sizing tool below to confirm your length, then choose the Pedors 3P Insert in the corresponding size. The insert can then be trimmed slightly at the front if needed so it sits flat inside your shoe.

For a closer look at the insert itself, visit the Pedors 3P Inserts product page. If you are also exploring footwear options, you may find it helpful to read our comprehensive guide to diabetic shoes alongside this insole information.

When to choose 3P vs. a more structured orthotic

In simple terms:

  • Choose Pedors 3P Inserts if you have very sensitive feet, areas of high pressure or you prefer a softer, more forgiving insert.
  • Consider a more structured orthotic (like the Genext Active “Beats” orthotic) if your main concern is arch or heel pain and your feet tolerate firmer support well.

Both approaches can be helpful; 3P simply starts from a “comfort and accommodation” point of view, which is often what people with diabetic or neuropathic feet are looking for. As with all Pedors products, if the inserts aren’t right for you, our no-risk return policy allows you to try them at home with confidence.
